In a bilateral partnership between the Indian Government, the Dutch Government and a Dutch consortium of companies working under the organization Dutch Sports Infrastructure (DSI), India and the Netherlands launched the first Colourfield at JLN Stadium in New Delhi.
Colourfield is a multi-functional, sustainable, mini sports arena that combines a social sports education program with a high level innovative multi-sports facility. The small-scale durable sports field has lighting powered by solar energy generated on site and, by means of GreenSource, stores and purifies water to make it suitable for drinking.
Pilcrow Communications was recruited by DSI to organise the following :
- Set up meeting spaces at a 5 star hotel for high level government discussions before the launch.
- Ensure that coaches and children taking a 5 day pre-launch training session led by KNVB (the Royal Dutch Football Academy) at the stadium had wholesome food, water and any other requirements were met.
All arrangements for the inauguration of the Colourfield concept by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of India, Sports Authority of India, The Netherlands Embassy and Dutch Sports Infrastructure at Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Stadium, New Delhi on 1st December, 2016.
Tented space for an exhibit at the stadium, near the mini arena, of the Dutch companies that were part of the DSI consortium in providing solutions to the mini arena, e.g. Philips Lighting, Ten Cate Grass, Greensource rain water harvesting, etc.
All arrangements for the press meet and knowledge sharing sessions held in tented space at the stadium, near the Colourfield mini arena.
Pilcrow Communications is proud to have been a part of this fine initiative to promote sports in the country, as well offer an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and social cohesion in developing areas of our country, where water is scarce and sun is abundant.
